Hi folks....i need to pick your brains
I've organized to get my wheels refurbished. They are just the normal 17 inch Lexus 5 spokes

They are being done in a kind of dark chrome finish....similar to modern MB,BMW and Audi etc.

The guy is powder coating them black then applying a silver paint finish.

But.....he isnt going to be able to do the centre caps because they are plastic and wont handle the powdercoating process.

so any suggestions....

Run without centre caps??
Try and paint the caps to a similar finish???
Paint the caps a contrasting black??

Would something like these fit??

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-lexus-centre-cap...arParts_SM

There not an exact match but there would be less standard silver visible??

i think they may be 63mm but i'm not 100% on that. best to measure them to be sure. i like the first ones but there from the fiat abarth but if you have them a dark grey then these might look very nice. like the center nuts myself. not many cars have them and they might look good on the lexus rims

If you can get a sample of the colour and take it into Halfords they should be able to match the colour or at least get it very close, and make you a spray can of it :thumbup1: I did it a bit ago and it was pretty close to the original colour i wanted and paid around £10 for the can :thumbup1:

the centre caps cant be powder coated as they wont stand the temperatures involved.

I guess the previous owner of yours couldnt be bothered looking for a solution lol
