Best wax to use, tips needed
Best wax to use, tips needed
Hey guys,
I have a grantie sky lexi with the speckled paint and I just cant get a super shiny finish on it, I use usually wash the car twice with triplwaz shampoo, then use AG srp then finish wth a layer turtle wax, but I'm not getting a super shiny finish as seen with some lexi's on here, any tips or products I can use to get my car really spanking clean???
The advantage of using a clay bar is it removes all contamination from your paint work.
They should be used only on a clean car and used with a clay bar lubricant.
This when done right will give you the best surface to put your wax onto.
I polish normally twice this time of year to remove all what the winter has left on the paint work, and again near the end of the season around October.
It of course does no harm to do this more often, although it takes a good day to do a half decent job.
below and last weekends efforts
so my 1st bit was to use the pressure washer and Snow foam this was left about 5-10min on the car then washed off
then a full wash using just normal autoglym shampoo and a wiggly wash mit purchased form our sponsor Auto Rae Chem
i then moved onto a claybar i used a medium claybar and lube and worked over the whole car till it was smooth (smooth as i could make it for half a day) purchased form our sponsor Auto Rae Chem
then rewashed the car using a wiggly wash mit again this time i used a different shampoo from our purchased sponsor Auto Rae Chem
i then used Poor-boys Black hole glaze designed for darker vehicles, i used a applicator pad to apply this to one panel at a time then buffed off
once done i then used colonite one panel at a time and buffed off
so this was the end result
