I didnt say they dont exist or werent there, but generally they were failures
whilst the handheld tech was there, the abck-up wasnt i guess
parthiban That doesn't necessarily mean they weren't big :tongue_smilie:
Seriously though smartphones were already pretty big, Apple just made them massive - and brought the appeal to everyone, not just businessmen and technophiles.
My first smartphone was the P900 back in 2003 I think.......

which again i think is where we are getting crossed wires,
they were designed for businessmen which is a completely different market to what apple has hit, although they can be a good tool for a businessman also
perhaps im not articulating my words well enough,..........its a lazy wednesdaya fternoon and work is piling up :chair:
How about this....
The Mazda MX-5 was the first ever 2 seater roadster, widely accepted by the public and the best selling roadster in the world.
Eh, no!
There are masses of roadster out years and years before the MX-5 but the MX-5 was "popular" which just means they captured the imagination of the public and sold heaps of their cars.
Same with Apple, they were late to the game, offered nothing new BUT they made it fashionable and popular for non geeks (like me!).
Funny thing is, first iphone came out late 2007, you should check the spec, my god it was sooooo bad compared to other smartphones at the time LOL
Carpediem are we not getting confused between what we class as a smartphone and a business phone though?
to me a smart phone is touchscreen, with games, music, etc etc not a hand held pc like module such as the nokias,........whci to me are more of a business phone?
