Is the ECV a branded one, or an eBay special?

I bought it from the japshop.co.uk ebay store, and the video they have on the store page would indicate its made by a company called Fletcher. But there is nothing in the box to say who actually makes it.

Just noticed it has the word/name 'Machiangli' stamped into the motor casing just below where it says to only use it with 12v...

Tbh these days what isn't made in Taiwan/China. They certainly haven't skimped on materials as 1.2kg is a fairly substantial weight for something that size.

And the motor seems to be pretty strong and is geared with a nice smooth and slow movement so it shouldn't get stuck once it's caked in carbon deposits.

Same cut out as my one on Trans Am. Worked just fine up until I sold the car.

Glad to hear yours worked alright, it's got a 1 year warranty anyway for peace of mind.

And just to confused things more, I've now spotted that it has a German patent number. So designed in Germany, built in Taiwan, sold in UK.

Sold this last weekend, so just thought I'd finish of this thread by posting up the pictures I took prior to it's sale.

This has now been replaced by my Mazda2, the thread for which is HERE
