no mate they improve brake pedal feel...
i never said air filter coz one of your mods was a charger/turbo theirfor pointles changing the filter...
Charger/Turbo are on the wish list - mostly cos it's unlikely I can afford to do those mods this year at the very least
I had figured improving the brake lines might improve the brakes  was wondering about the strut braces and under braces you mentioned, they sound like something that'd stiffen up and reduce body roll?
well mate the braided lines stop the brake line ballooning and therefore loosing pressure. so the steel ones wont do it.
And they do stiffen the body.
you need uprated ARB's to get less body roll.
K&N filter is a bit of a no-brainer IMHO, you have to spend money on air filters anyway when it comes to service time, so it'll help there, plus it should help your fuel economy a bit too. And you can always sell it if and when you end up going down the forced induction route.
Out of your "must haves", uprated ARBs are by far the best improvement IMHO. They will increase your driving enjoyment enormously, unlike things like skirts and wheels etc, which will look nice, sure, but you won't "feel" when you drive.
I had TTE springs and then went to coilovers. I think coilovers are a great deal better, but then again they're a fair bit more expensive. You can exactly dial in the ride height you want, and you will get far better control over your ride if you get ones with adjustable damping.
If you go for uprated ARBs sooner rather than later, I would say forget the lowering springs. The combination of the two does not work well when you go over road bumps that affect just one side of the car - it is *very* crashy. It's absolutely fine for going over bumps with both sides at the same time though.
Something that a lot of people do is replace the interior lights with LEDs, it's very cheap and easy to do.
Another thing to consider is the Denso IK20 higher-performance spark plugs. Again, spark plugs are a service item anyway. The IK20s are actually cheaper than the regular plugs, but they only last half as long.
DaveEdin Hi,**Full Paint Correction etc ** -- This one I do need, anyone know where I can get this done in Scottishland? Guildford & Christian are a bit far for me

Cheers for the pointer to the detailers Steve, been  over Christian's work, good to see similar services available up here, Google wasn't very helpful
Ormi slipped new plugs into the car while it was in for a service with his work, so that's out of the way already.
I do quite fancy replacing all the interior lights with LEDs, but am a bit torn with the dash ones - if I was changing those I'd want to change all the orange interior bulbs to match and until I get a new HU that'd be a pain with the orange still there. Still there's map, dome and mirror lights that can be done  On the arm rest controls (on the door) what's actually supposed to light up there?
Are coilovers ok with the ARBs then? As you (most of you) know, this is still the car I take the kids to school in, so don't want it to become *too* harsh  speed bumps abound near the school after all!
Is there a particular order I should do the mods in - Steve has mentioned ARBs before lowering would be a PITA for example?
ARBs before lowering is fine, it's just that the combination of TTE lowering springs and uprated ARBs is a bit harsh. So ARBs now would give you a big big improvement in cornering and driving enjoyment. Perhaps save for coilovers later ? Or you could go with the cheaper springs, and just put up with that one-sided-bump harshness - it's fine in all other ways though.

I agree with steve that ARBs and lowering springs can make the ride quite harsh at times. Especially on our current potholey roads. Though must say on smooth roads it great
Effectively the ARBs double your spring rates on one sided movement - so having stiffened the springs anyway its going to be quite hard riding. IE - ARBs + Double stiff springs would equal 4 x stiffness rather than the 2 x with just arbs or just 2 x springs. Rather simplistic explanation but hopefully works.
Best mods are HIDs, ARBS & Supercharger
