Got the wheels re aligned. Front and back, camber and toe
Then Exhaust time.
Sized it up.
looks shiny enough.
Drilling the hole though the stainless steel took a while and a few drill bits. But we got it spot on.
I didn't take a picture after the weld coz I'm an idiot. I was a really clean weld as well, not done but me but by my colleague at work.
Slid on there like a dream! I had a shot of it underneath as well but can't find it. Did made me realise how much I still have to do when looking at one streak of stainless steel across the undercarriage.
The brackets between the cat and the stock resonator were almost fused together, had to grind the bolts off and give it a few taps.
Wasn't too bad in all though, I'm just annoyed that they didn't clarify that if you were purchasing this exhaust for the is200 rather than the is300 then you would need to 'customise' it in order for it to work. The page did say performance exhaust for is200/300. But whatever I'm over it.
here's the old one.
yea thats sellers with no real knowledge of what their selling or fitment,
glad you got it sorted though and looks spot on
they do need a good clean/refurb
Nice exhaust. I bought the same exhaust a month ago and was having the same problems.
The problem is that it was made for the is300. So no o2 sensor bung. Also the exhaust is sticking out to much at the back because the is300 has a longer rear bumper.
I also bought the megan racing y-pipe but the y-pipe and the catback didnt fit proper with the gaskets. I needed to fit a new donut gasket to get it leak free.
Yeh it ended up being ok, it s a little bit off center but in true JDM style it does what it's there for and does it well! I took the baffle out for the weekend and it is a monster! haha but I'm gonna keep it in for the week just so i dont **** everyone off. Makes it more of a treat for the weekend though.
Now I just cant wait to start pushing some more fuel though the engine and giving that exhaust something to shout about
