As noted earlier, I need to change the brake discs and pads on the car (and get a couple of tyres) - what do you guys think of these brakes?
Discs
Pads
Appreciate the opinions of those *far* more knowledgeable than me... which is everyone, including Oli, guests to the board and the Yahoo! Slurp Spider...
go for them mate they are the ones that the girl from my work put on and they feel really good........
The pads are fine, nothing wrong with mintex. Probably nothing wrong with the discs, but you could get them cheaper from here

I bought a set of their discs fro my MR2. They offer a service to zinc plate the discs for about 20 quid or so. You can have them finished in yellow/gold or silver. That stops them rusting up.
Im impressed with mine so far
edeath I agree with steve that ARBs and lowering springs can make the ride quite harsh at times. Especially on our current potholey roads. Though must say on smooth roads it great
Effectively the ARBs double your spring rates on one sided movement - so having stiffened the springs anyway its going to be quite hard riding. IE - ARBs + Double stiff springs would equal 4 x stiffness rather than the 2 x with just arbs or just 2 x springs. Rather simplistic explanation but hopefully works.

The ARB's shouldnt make the ride too mush harsher, the will just limit the amount of body roll. Of course this will affect the chassis a little over bumps by limiting the amount of travel on the wheel in bump by spreading it across the axle.
Id try it and see what suits you best, its not a big job to swap between the settings
Mabozza Ritchie I've already got the TTE lowering springs, and about a month ago i listened to all the hype and got the TTE arbs. Not got them fitted yet though. Do you reckon if i get them fitted on the softest of the 2 settings they should be ok? I usually drive on uneven country roads to get to work so that may be a problemad:. Typical...........their is no soft or hard setting the holes are their so you can have the anti roll bar link straight as poss,if they are at an angle they can bend.....

Thanks chaps. I'll get them fitted and stick to smooth roads :thumbup1:.
