Dave's IS200 Sport
Righty ho been a wee while since I got round to posting anything in this thread - mostly cos I've done pretty much nowt about it (cash been getting eaten up by so many other things)
Anyhoo, end of March in some freaky snowstorm I bashed the front bumper off a transit, resulting in:
Closeups
so I'd been on the lookout for a TTE Bumper - ormi found me one on eBay, and I won it, but it was in Englandland where we Scots can't be bothered to tread. Dino came to the rescue and picked it up for me and got it sent up to me. And I might add, he's VERY thorough with the packaging:
Wrapped up bumper:
Wrapping taking up the entire living room (eventually filled 2 black bags with it :lol
And the content of said package:
Not amazingly easy to see in the pic there, but there are some scratches etc on it, so I fired it along to be repainted and picked it up last Thursday, looking nice :thumbup1:
I'd been warned that fitting it is a 2 man job, and managed to rope ormi into helping me with that today (and by helping I mean he did the entire thing while I stood about and watched, and at one point helped hold the bumper at the right angle as he fitted some of the screws - top man!)
Look what else he had in his garage (one of 3 garages - he's obviously modelling himself after Chris and his sheds)
So that got clipped on - here's the car still jacked up with both bumpers in shot
While the bumper was off the big man even repositioned the horns on the crash bar for me.
Finally, the car now has changed from:
To
Ormi is a top, top man, and no mistake!!
:blushing: he even got out the tyre cleaner and gave my engine bay a once over to show me how it should be looking
Course the bumper now outshines the rest of the car so I better look at getting it cleaned up a bit more now
To top it all off he took me for a spin in his :w00t::w00t::w00t:
Me likey.
just glad i could help you out matey and had a laugh doing so.....
what did your dad think of it?
anything else matey just give me a shout..
He was out within 5 minutes of my getting back bud... and quite impressed, he reckons "it looks meaner now than before"
One of his cronies phoned up and asked him to go down for a quick pint, and he was out there showing it off to his mate before they left  He has high hopes that since I gave him the Zafira when I got the IS, that in a couple years he might get his mitts on the Lex... I caught him a couple of weeks back checking the boot size to see if his golf clubs would fit in the boot!
And yeah was a great laugh chatting with ya, hearing some more of your stories that weren't posted here
Looking good there mate, so what else you got planned for it ??
I need new tyres, and to replace the brake discs - so that's first...
Other stuff though I want would include upgrading the ARBs, TRD side and rear skirts, lowering (pref with coilovers), a decent stereo, replace gearknob as mine is scratched to death, steal ormi's charger when he's not looking, 18" wheels, shiny exhaust, LED the interior lights, have something done about the paintwork - it's swirly scratchy land on the car, and probably way more stuff that I can't come up with off the top of my head...
 course I'm still open to suggestions on what else I should do with it Suggestions always welcome!
Change its colour to the one below
just thought I'd try you again Dave :LOCMOD:
