Brakes - more problems
Brakes - more problems
Are your discs warped? My wobble problem was because of warped discs, the confusing part being why new sets of discs kept warping within a few thousand miles. Hence the warped flanges were discovered.
If your discs aren't warped though that does point to potentially a different problem, might be worth a trip to WIM for the boys to strip everything down and see what's there?
No I don't think the discs are warped. I'm going to see if I can borrow a dial gauge from work for the week end and see if I can check everything out, discs and flanges.
The funny thing is like Dean I've only had this problem since I painted my callipers. It could be down to that pin/ bush as I found this pin quite tight then and cleaned it up a lubricated it.
dodgydave That's brilliant.
Any idea of price?? Not an arm and a leg are they??

Does sound like it might be a sticky caliper or something then, hopefully it's a simple fix
Phoned Lexus/Toyota today to get prices. for reference they are:-
47715-22070 Bottom Pin - £6.09 each
47715-30060 Top Pin - £8.09 each
47769-50010 Sliding Bush - £3.42 each
all plus the dreaded VAT.
I've order 2 x Bottom pins and 2 x Bushes. I will be picking up on Saturday so hopefully if the weather is OK at the week end I'll fit them and we will see if that makes any difference. If it doesn't make any difference it won't be wasted, you can see from the picture one needed changing anyway.
I'll keep you updated.
Marsdendean So does this solve a sticking caliper, or just help things move a bit more??
