Well one hell of alot has gone on with the car !
the engine died last july so over the last 7 months ive been rebuilding my spare engine
heres some of the bits thats going in to the new engine
1ggte rods and pistions (been crack tested and the rods have been shot peened )
1gfe crank, rods,pistons,flywheel,front pully have been ballanced
1gfe block honed and cleaned painted black
i.k engineering inlet manifold
i.k engineering sump
fully rebuilt gt30 turbo with brass carriers
tial 50mm wastegate
syvecs s6 ecu standalone
i.k engineering gas flowed head
custom made engine and gear box mounts for 1gfe
bigger front mount
engine parts power coated
light weight crank shaft pully custom made
all new bearings rings and gaskets
1ggte oil pump
modifed oil ways better flow
i think thats it lol will post up some pics started this week doing the bottom end
hoping for near to 400 hp
would buying rabs one not have been easier and cheaper?
If your hoping for 400 hp you will need to up grade your fuel system , welcome to the "Turbo club" :thumbup:
No buying tabs bottom end would not have been cheaper as Ive been building
The bottom end my self and has cost me half what he wants
Dave I've had a turbo on the car for two years lol and I've upgrade the fuel system as well
What fuel system do you have set up ? and was it a pain in the !!! to get the parts and fit ? mine is , lol .
Hello mate swirl pot bosh 44 pump new fuel feed line all the fittings Im having made by a place by me who does fittings and pipes only plus knowing them very well
Just been catching up on this thread. Sorry to hear about the dead engine, but good to hear things are moving forward. You say you've got a Syvecs ECU, is that connected up yet ? If not, you might be interested in my thread !
no its not yet stevie still building the engine
the crank shaft is back in with new bearings arp main studs next to do is the rods and pistons
hang on you didnt have yours done by ryan at 2bar?
