oh, and btw, if you are running your front speakers from head unit, dont change them... nothing will sound better than oem speakers without some serious work involved.
oem speakers are paper cone, which makes them light and with good sensitivity.

if you will feed them with amp, those pioneer's are a waste of money imho, save money, make those spacers yourself and get a decent 2-way front, like Hertz DSK 165...

Cheers for the advice guys, I'm leaning towards leaving the stock speakers in and just wiring my sub and amp in for the time being.

Looking at the logistics of doing it all I reckon I reckon I'm going to be be better off saving up and getting those Hertz, looking at the specs they are much better quality speaker!

I agree, many people go to local shops, buy cheap speakers to replace their standards, and don't realise they have actually downgraded their system.

My advice would be to go to a proper car audio specialist and ask them.
