I think if you're building from scratch a water to air intercooler is a better solution than meth injection, plus you don't have to worry about running out.

Probably isn't much in it in terms of weight either, after you've added the meth injection bottle and gubbins. If you've got an intercooler air to air set up anyway, it's probably simpler just to add meth injection afterwards.

Depends if you design the build from scratch or add on as you go I suppose.

The bulk of the weight is the liquid I think.

I'd just like to say something:

dear man at the council who decided to use plastic "safety" bollards instead of concrete ...I could ******* kiss you.

I've just hit one at about 10mph and there is 0 damage not even scratches in the paint! Big Grin

I'd disagree, a simple tank, some line, a pump, and a jet?

Compared to a custom design and fabricated charge cooler, re routing pipework, a pump, a tank, and then pipework for the coolant?

The WI can be added to any setup in a couple of hours, charge coolers a full r&d then a days work at least.

The major issue with water/meth injection is that to take full advantage of it, you have to map using it, and then you're screwed when you run out. Unless your ECU is smart enough to have a float in the tank and switch maps when the level is low, you'll kill your engine if you're mapped for meth injection and you don't have any.

yeah but mapping meth/water injection is a complete ball ache if you run out surely?

Edit: toxo beat me to it!

It can be. Depends how aggressive your going. But a simple float switch isn't a hard thing to wire in.
