Hey there, i know im new here but out of curiousity anyone modified /tune 2nd gen IS250/220d ? i see and hear about many IS200/300 that are so any owners perhaps progress to 2nd gen IS and apply the same to it ? not sure if its me but it seem not as many tuning parts for it ?

I'm modding mine slowly but you're right there are not that many parts compared to other cars. The is250/is350 modding scene in the US is very big but nothing going on in the UK unfortunately. You can browse clublexus.com for inspiration Smile

I think the main reason for the lack of a 2nd gen scene in the UK is no IS350 model. There are pretty much no tuning parts available for the is250 engine (thought I'm sure it's very capable). Give it a few more years and I think we will start seeing more people pop engines open and see what they can do, once the 06/07 plates get cheap anyway.

I'm keen to see what IS250 owners start doing though, they are pimping cars.

I remember even in early days of IS200 alot were tuned, what with the TTE kit, also is it easy to change the stereo ? as the clock, hazard warning switch and a/c panel is incorporated together lol, reason im asking is my dads got is250 and potential next car, kind of use to the ipod touch connectivity to an Alpine stereo currently on my IS200, that mod will be a start if i do get the IS250 !

I did look on my.is forum there dont seem to be alot or anything stereo wise for is250/350 did see this post http://my.is/forums/f159/aftermarket-ddi...-a-393002/ think its custom, looks quite good though ! i hope there atleast be a way to connect ipod to OEM stereo !!

See if you can find Tango's thread - he made a bunch of changes to an IS250 before he went for an ISF, think most of what he got came from the US and was built originally for the US IS350 though...
