Phaebo IS200 Supercharged (NL)
Phaebo IS200 Supercharged (NL)
Hi all
My name is Daniel. I am from the netherlands and have been reading this forum for a while and I see a lot of interesting projects here so I thought lets introduce my self and my own project page.
Last year I bought my self a Lexus IS200. When I bought this car it was all standard exept for the wheels witch were 18" dotz wheels.
when I had the car for a few weeks I started modifying the car.
bought myself some new headlights with angel eyes en some smoked LED tail lights.
Also fitted smokey side repeaters and smoked the rear inner tail lights with plastic wrap.
Also fitted HID xenon 8000K lights in the headlights and fog lights
After that I Let the windows get tinted
welcome to ojc, what's next on your mod list?
I see i am having some problems with inserting pictures and seems i cant edit my last posts so i try again.
After I was driving around for a while I defenitely needed some new wheels and some Coil overs.
Been looking around and found some nice staggered setup.
I bought the Ultralite Hikari wheels
front 8.5J 18 inch with 215-35-18 Hankook ventus Evo tyres.
rear 9.5J 18 inch with 225-35-18 Hankook ventus evo tyres.
Both with a nice streched tyre.
Also found a nice BC racing coil over suspension set.
Sad enough it did rub against the arches so i let the arches rolled out so it didnt rub anymore.
The next thing was that the car seriously needed some extra power. Thats when I found a complete supercharger kit wich was located in Czech Republik.
I contacted the man and we decided to meet in Germany to pick up the kit. So i had to drive 450 kilometers and the seller drove 400 kilometers and we met somewere in the middle.
The supercharger kit is from Bemani and it is the 205 HP version with 130 mm pulley. It also included patrick lindblom black box wich seems to be a good add on for the supercharger.
The week after I fitted the kit on my car.
What a difference it makes. Really alot more power and it drives so nice with the supercharger on it!!
After i fitted the supercharger kit I thought it might need some extra cooling so i Fitted some Denso Iridium IK22 sparkplugs and also fitted a Mocal Oil cooler with thermostat sandwich plate.
This is where i fitted it.
also needed a smaller oil filter because there was no more room for the bigger filter.
Also De-catted and heatwrapped my exhaust manifold.
And a De-catted exhaust pipe.
I used an adaptor piece to fool the o2 sensor and till now it worked fine. No check engine light came up.
Then started to do some porting to my supercharger. I read a lot of positive effects on porting the supercharger so i wanted to try.
Here widen up the exhaust side of the supercharger
I fact it made a little change to the car. The supercharger is now building up just under 0,4 bar instead of 0,3 and also producing slighly less heat. just a few degrees C less
I also wanted a little more noise coming of the engine bay so i bought a HKS style Blow off valve.
Also fitted a custom made Cold Air intake. With heat shielded chrome Cone air filter and blue silicone hoses. Also the rest of the air intake hoses are replaced by blue silicon hoses.
Over all pic
Welcome and the car looks great mate like the wheels what offsets are the back I'm having trouble with mine rubbing at the moment
And I like how you've done the air filter not seen it there before but it looks better bit more oem style =)
looks good mate have you thought about polishing the charger so its nice and shiney?
Nice, im from belgium but here we cant do anything on our car because of the check up every year.. everyting needs homologation.. And thats ****, it also makes everything very expensive if you dont want to change everyting every year.
then i found some nice engine dress ups on the internet
Also fitted a new sports grill. Now you can also see the oil cooler fitted right behind the grill. I removed the sports logo and replaced it with a nice little Supercharged Logo. wich are also fitted to the side of the car. Just some nice little touch ups also a little boot lip spoiler is fitted to the back of the car.
Also had my headlights and front fog lights Tinted so now all the head lights, tail lights and side reapeaters are black smoked.
