Does anyone have any ideas as to why the supercharger belt would be slipping but ONLY on WOT lift off?

it's solid at all other times - on boost and under load, part throttle lift off etc etc

any ideas? knackered tensioner mabee?

There's too much friction being caused by the sucking of air in compared to the engine slowing down.

Do you still have the working bypass? Is the spring opening quick enough?

Hmmm it does have the bypass but I cant imagine the spring being up to much so it could be that!

thanks stav I would never have thought of that! and it's eating belts like nothing else haha!

Sweet Smile well that's an easy fix, I bought a massive box of springs ages ago! I'll just put a stronger one on.

My only concern is that the belt seems to be moving on full throttle?
