There's too much friction being caused by the sucking of air in compared to the engine slowing down.
Do you still have the working bypass? Is the spring opening quick enough?

Def the bypass mate. If its not bypassing the air backs up. Against the charger and stalls it ripping the belts.

Right, I've put a stronger spring on the bypass and adjusted the SSQV so it blows off easier.
My only concern is that the belt seems to be moving on full throttle?

Hmm would say tome the tensioner is buckled slightly. Or the belt not quite tight enough.
