My new motor - 02 IS200 Sport in Strathcaron Blue
brilliant weekend... but i thought whilst i was down there i would fit my sub and rear reversing camera to the car...
little did i know that the head unit in the car does not have any sub out puts or any inputs at all to fit the camera in to.
so i bought a new stereo there and then... the stereo in the car was fine but it lacks
bass... not any more
I have put all the wiring through for the camera... just havent wired in a switched live for the camera yet... another job for today.
After getting back from USC feeling rather tired i put a bid on a ally radiator and won it
so that should be delivered wednesday/thursday.
just need to find some silicone hoses for it... i have contacted SFS... just waiting on a response.
when i get some photos from the weekend il post them up.

Good man there is a wire in passenger footwell for reverse feed if you have run the cable that far will see if I can find the pic I took when I fitted mine

there is a slight leak on the rad... tiny one... so i thought i would just replace it...
brand new ally rad delivered for £92 quid bargin!
Just going to be putting in a switched live... not just when its in reverse. that way i can have the cam on permanently when the ignition is on.
is there a switched live in the rear of the car??

if i do end up wiring it off of the sub... i think i would fuse the line from the camera to the sub just in case.
as you can probably see i didnt get round to fit the camera... but i did give the engine bay a serious going over... (which it desperately needed!!)
as i like doing before and after shots...

i also cleaned the air filter... it looked almost black and you could barely see through it... i changed the pipes around on the injen intake to make it sit better and re plumbed the crank case breather and ran a pipe for the air temp sensor. whilst at USC i purchased a D1 spec rad cap to match in with the anodised blue look.
Its getting there... hopefully new rad and coolant pipes to be fitted soon... and il get better piping for the breather and air temp sensor at JAE... but it will do for now.

When at USC last weekend i decided to fit my sub and reversing camera to the car... only to find out that the head unit doesnt have any inputs or and out puts... (how strange??)
So i went out and bought an up to date one wit all the gizmo's and gadgets i ever would need
It has got a built in Parrot voice activated call list and links direct to your phone via Bluetooth and can pull the songs straight off of your phone.
Yer its only a 6.1" rather than the previous 7" but this does a lot more and suits me perfectly.

Over the weekend i have to fit the Rad and a full HKS earthing kit i picked up earlier last week before i went away to USC. (Cheers)
I have also sent off to get my private plate put on to my lexus... already had the plates made... and they look spot on... Pics up when it legal to put them on
Cant wait to get all the new stuff fitted.
