Need advice on car insurance
Hi everyone,
Right got a my renewal today from Direct Line, well you can call it a renewal as Direct Line have felt the need to not continue with insuring me in the future.
So Ive been refused, which is not ideal
Would I be able to buy another brand new policy on there website? I can quote and very decent ones compared to everybody else.
Or would it be refused once its been processed?
Im going to contact SKy and AF to check quotes.
All insurance co's will want to know if you have been refused insurance in the past.
I think DL will refuse you again if you try to buy online (as a new customer).

Now if every insurance was to refuse you cover, what could you do to get insurance ?

I think you are going to find problems, especially because you've been refused insurance now (you have to declare that, don't try and get away without saying).
Your best bet is probably to find a company who specialises in people who are difficult to insure, they sometimes get advertised in car mags etc. Speaking to Adrian Flux would of course be a good idea too.
I'm with Gord, seems very odd that they've just refused instead of putting the price up really high. Are you a very troublesome customer? :p
As others have said, you will need to tell any future insurer that you've been denied cover - they will say nothing about it now, but as soon as you need to make a claim they will refuse cover on that basis.
