Berry's Lexus IS300
Thought I would start a little thread on the evolution of the Lexus
Bought in 2008 it was completely standard with one lady owner from new and FLSH. Here’s what she looked like
I have always been into modifying my cars and so the first thing on the list was to sort out the corroded Lexus wheels. After long discussions and looking at endless pictures of cars and wheels I decided on the colour, white. Next was to choose the design I wanted chunky spokes that looked good and had to fill the arches it was either 18” or 19”. I decided on the 18” in the end as it would be less hassle fitting especially when I was considering lowering it and chose the ROTA GTR's
As you can see and will know the ride height on the Lexus is rather high so after reading threads etc on the forums decided on some TTE springs which I ordered from Lexus Bristol.
When I had both in hand they were fitted and I was really pleased with the look it made such a difference.

The handling was improved already but heard that it could be vastly improved if fitted with some ARBs I found a chap who had just bought some TRD yellows off Ebay and had decided not to fit them, his loss my gain
I had these fitted at my local Hi-Q centre and I was instantly surprised with the difference on the handling. It felt much flatter and sure footed around the bends, a good buy in my books.
Next on the list was to get a filter for the engine to give the engine some better breathing, this was done by way of the K&N Typhoon kit, faster filters coming to the rescue undercutting everyone, even ebay by £50!! We fitted one evening at my parents house, we reset the ECU and went out to see what it was like, what an amazing noise it makes, it was like having a sports exhaust on the car. Under acceleration the growl is brilliant and I love it although it does give you the urge to floor it all the time to hear it
Also after hearing the woes of people checking their cambelts on LOC and finding it half missing I was worried and got Russell to check it and as you can see it was fine

Next was to have a dabble with the looks of the car, I liked the TRD lip but found the TTE bumper, which I preferred, now to find one and luck was on my side on ebay again, where I found one for £100 although it had no mesh, no worries I thought I would get some fitted after as from Lexus though as it is a tad expensive from them
This was sent direct to the bodyshop and once received it was not good news as the paint on it was cracking which meant that would have to be stripped back at quite a cost. I decided to look for another one and within a week I did and as a bonus it had all the TTE mesh fitted and the Lexus badge  I won this one and had it sent to the bodyshop again and it was fine, phew. I decided to keep it flush too without the washer jets partly as the bodyshop said it was a tight fit, which I thought was odd as it has the cut outs?? But when I saw it I liked it without them anyhow, then to move the horns!!
Well I think that is where I am up to at the moment, plans for the future are
Fit Moley’s ultra bars
Uprate the front brakes probably with K-sport, 6 or 8 pots undecided at the moment.
Fit nice purple hosing in the engine bay.
Front strut brace and H-bracing.
ha, you now know why there are no current interior pictures then Ian
Having looked at the other wheels on the drivers side, they weren't actually kerbed and the other rear one isn't that noticable.
So I had just the one wheel refurbed in the end the one which the garage had done the wheel nuts up too tight on and so they were snapping :LOCMOD: Luckily this one they had to do for free and was the worst

luckily the locking nut was still in tact
