Ok Now is the time to find out what to look out for:
Alloy Wheels check for corrosion wheels are around £50 each to refurbish.
The wheel sensors run by battery these have a life span of around 5 years each.
Each one would cost around £115 each plus fitting.
When these fail this will be shown up on the dashboard cluster.
The sensors can be turned off, but we do not recommend these as it is a safety feature.
Boot Struts if the boot lid does not fully open or stay open it may need the struts replaced These are around £60 -£80 each.
O2 sensors These like the battery in the wheels sensors can go normaly when the vehicle get to five years old. There are four sensors these cost around £300 to get replaced.
When these fail this will be shown up on the dashboard cluster.
Car Audio Amp Some older Sc430 amp had problems these can be found in the boot near the Sat Nav slot
Soft paint check around the front bumpers for stone chips the paint work is soft so you may see a lot of chips.
Master Key When purchasing your vehicle check that you have a master key and a spare if you loose both keys you can expect to pay around £800 to replace.
Check the roof is fully operational as if not these could cost a lot to put right.
Other than the above these cars like the rest of the Lexus range are pretty bullit proof.
