Steering Wheel Very Light very sensitive
Steering Wheel Very Light very sensitive
hi all
as title says my steering wheel feels very light it all started a month ago after changing the inner and outer tie rods and links i thought it was the geo so i had it done by wim
and this week i had the control arm bushings changed
the car feels like it's being pushed to the right at speeds 40+ it gets very sensitive
the only thing that i can think of is tyres next because i have 6+ tread on 3 tyres and 1 partworn 3+ tyre on other thats on the front passenger side i put that tyre on before get the Geometry done
so my question is could it be tyre related?
thanks
wahid
My guess would have been incorrect geometry settings after the suspension components were changed, but if you had them set by WIM after the installationg then I very much doubt there is anything wrong with the geometry.
I don't think it would have anything to do with the tyres though personally.
swap the wheels round and see what it feels like

i had the geometry done after the suspension components were changed and asked tony about the control arm bushings he said it wouldn't affect the geometry
thanks
i try it mate

northernmonkey have you checked the tyre pressures?
rob what type of cntrol arm bushing did you use? was it the solid polyurethane type or the rubber hardrace?
If it was hardrace then you need to make sure when the bushing was installed it was in the correct orientation.
