Urgent Info Needed !
Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted before, but I had a look around the forum, and couldn’t find the info I wanted.
I need the paint code for my car. I know where the tag is located, but there are loads of numbers and I can’t tell which is the paint code.
Can any one tell what the code looks like? Like how many digits, or which of the number on the tag is the paint code.
Or if any one knows what the paint code for a Graphite Sky is, then that would be just as helpful !
Many thanks all !!!
Dave !!

I put up a posting about paint codes a while back, here, with some incomplete information that I was hoping that I may be able to complete (so far, no luck).

Also, have a look at this thread for an example of the manufacturer's info plate, showing where the paint code is located on it
Went to Lexus to see if I could get this colour, and I was told that, Granite Sky 1C6, is a colour that was made only by Lexus and only for the 1st Gen Lexus IS, and because there was a small number of Granite Skies sold in the UK, they no longer have paint available. They only have touch up paint pens, or the garages body shop will have to mix up a load for me which would of cost £££, instead of £5.00 for a 300ml can.
So undeterred with this news, I remember a friend of mine saying that Halfords made paint to match cars. Reluctantly I went to Halfords to see if they could make up some paint, and they did. I just hope it matches and looks like the rest of the car ad:
I've used halfords quite a few times mate, and the paint i've had either mixed for spray cans or as a tin so i can spray with my own gear, and never had a problem with it,
