Limping engine, help!
Limping engine, help!
It has now started to flash the traction control and engine management light on and off on the dash board and struggles to pull ... anyone any ideas what this could be?
Also have an oil catch tank, but the breather pipe is breathing very heavily, looks like the engine is smoking when it isnt ... any ideas??

19-03-2020, 10:59 PM #1Few problems now with the engine, there is oil all over the engine, i have bought a new rocker cover gasket to see if that cures the problem, and some spark plugs as it is misfiring.

There is oil getting into the back 3 cylinders some how ... so the car is parked up just now, either stem oil seals or piston rings ....

31-03-2020, 11:52 PM #6Yeah, replaced all the spark plugs and the coil packs (dear job) then it ran smooth as you can dream of, then 3 of the coils have blown again.
There is oil getting into the back 3 cylinders some how ... so the car is parked up just now, either stem oil seals or piston rings ....
Update this morning, had it all stripped, doenst look too bad ... however there are no seals on the coils, this might be why it is limping, put on a new rocker gasket and she seems to be running okay with no more trace of oil in the cylinders ....
Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Update this morning, had it all stripped, doenst look too bad ... however there are no seals on the coils, this might be why it is limping, put on a new rocker gasket and she seems to be running okay with no more trace of oil in the cylinders ....
