on the 1g-fe? of course. its a single cam pulley, if you look at the front of the engine there are i beleive 10mm bolts surrounding the cam cover. just whip them off and pull the cover towards you.

wouldnt recomend it, im not going to run mine open. looking at clear cam covers now. all it takes is a stone or bit of **** to fly up and lodge itself between the pulley and belt and its game over.

Update!

Took the engine back out today with the box and fitted my lightweight flywheel with 6 puk F1 paddle clutch, starter motor and all new bearings etc etc. not looking forward to driving on this clutch but im sure il get use to it! :thumbup: . Ive got some welding to do on the crossmember to make it strong again this weekend then its back in with the engine and box for the final time. then il start conecting everything up!!
