Those breaks :Overkill:
Talk about whiplash injuries the moment one of Jim's learners pulls out in front of you
Love it.
I had a very similar kit on my old M3 and I was delighted with the performance. I take it they aren't using dust seals on these kits yet? (May be worth keeping an eye on that for a road car if D2 aren't) What pads will you use by the way? I ran mine with DS2500's and they seemed to suit the 8 pots well.
Great project this. Certainly nice to see you pushing the envelope
Oh yeah........forgot to add, you may well need to fit a balance valve for the brakes or upgrade the rears. The weight transfer under heavy braking is savage!!
right o chaps, been busy on the car and spending more and more money!! defently not a cheap swap to do peeps! Ordered up near too £300 worth of hoses and fittings to make a start on the powersteering return line and fuel return line!!. so hope to see this next week.
Cracked on putting the front end of the car back on, feeding the oil cooler hoses though and mounting it all up.
Had a issue with getting the Storm G4 ECU, been told nonre where in the country and thor had put a order in for more from new zeland and then they get a earthquake wiping the place out. so fingers crossed with that one as the loom is ready to be pluged in. The exhaust will be getting fabricated early next month along with a few other pipework bits hopefully, install a fuel return and FPR, then fluids and fire up!! hope to be mapping by april!!
The convertion hasnt been too hard to speak just a hard learning curve on what fits and what doesnt as nobody likes to talk about how the swap is done, i priced up what i wanted to spend and that was eaten up before the engine was even in place!!! id hate to think what sort of labour charge would be put ontop to build this car to the same spec!! I dont even add the parts bills up anymore haha!!! not long to go now though! looking forward to show season.
