Ok I'm thinking of getting a set of IS200 leather seats , is it just a straight swap to fit them ? Also is there an issue with the seat belts ? I was thinking of trying to get the seat belts with the seats , is this a good idea or not ?

One more question what is a good price to pay for a set of seats ?

Cheers ,

Moley

Should be a straight fit mate.

As for the seat belts there is a difference I think but you can move the plug off your seat to the new seat so you don't need the belts really.

As for price, as cheap as possible knowing you lol

Good lad,

But yeah you don't need the belts,

Undo 2 plugs, 4 bolts, seat out
Swap the seat belt sockets if needed
Then refit new ones.
Job done

straight swap, it's REALLY easy. You just need to undo a few bolts and tug the rear seats in one sharp motion. Should pop out. Same story for the back rest, lift it up and forwards.

If you are fitting heated seats where there were none originally, the wiring might be an issue.

No my seats are already heated and both drivers and passenger side are electric so that should not be an issue .

If I do buy the ones I'm on about then my old ones will be up for sale for anyone who wants to upgrade from manual none heated ones :thumbup1:

As above very easy swap did mine from chri5 car to mine in a few hours just double check the belts as the buckles will catch you out they did me was a real pain lol.

The connector that determines if the seat belt is pushed home was different on mine but it's 2wires to cut on the plug and rejoin very easy mate should it be an issue.

the other thing would be air bags so make sure the battery is unplugged before starting for 10min just for safety

I don't think there is a walkthrough for this job yet if you can get pics I'm sure it can then be narrated to help others in the future Smile

as above really, i fitted heated, electric full leather to my car and it was a pain having to do the wiring, it wasnt that hard but my standard seats were totally manual.

I paid £150 for the seats and door cards + £50 for delivery the only drawback was that the rear door cards were damaged but i dont care as im never in the back!
