Rabster looking good mate so what doesnt work with the ecu not connected ?

as far as im aware, the only thing that doesnt work is engine related, everything else seems to work fine line instrument cluster etc. reading about i found topics saying that the standard ecu was a multiplex and controlled alot of things in the car and really couldnt be left out. but everything needed still works so no need for it atm but im sure the tuner will be the final decider.

My engines nuts and bolts require more torque than your car produces

As far as I can work out (this is from dismantling an LS not an IS) the multiplex system is mainly passive. It's there for the various smaller ECUs to report errors back to the main ECU etc, but they're not a requirement. The LS even has an MPX ECU in each door :lol:

Does your aircon work?

thats intresting to know, I have removed the aircon from the 1jz.
