Hi all was driving home from work the other day on the motorway and all of a sudden engine light came on on its own, car doesnt seem to have suffered at all for it and ive checked sensor on my exhaust and induction kit and all seems ok i there anything anyone can suggest mite hav happened? if not anyone kno what type of money it would be to get a garage to put i diagnostic on the car?

normally to get a garage to diagnose it, its around £30 well thats what i paid the last time someone did it but he only gave me the code and a rough idea of the issue

You could see if there are any members near you with an OBD reader / scangauge... lots of us have them. I'm nowhere near Runcorn though!

Buy one of these (or something similar)

Much cheaper than any garage!

Get the fault code out of the reader and then Google it.
