I am now the very happy and proud owner of an awesome set of wheels.

I ended up getting 4 x HUSSLA 636 18 X 7.5 5 X 114.3 SATIN BLACK/RED ACCENTS Rims with Pirelli CP1 Tyres. I wanted better grip in the wet as my old tyres would slip and slide. And it was very lucky as when I was driving home I was caught in a freak thunderstorm that reduced visibility to zero doing 100Kmh on the motorway.

You will also note that I now have a 50bhp increase due to my shiny red calipers.

Some pics.

Wheels look so small without the RIMS.

I like this one.

Having a look at the rear shocks these look like coilovers. But there is no branding on them anywhere. Has anyone seen these before? And Why would someone put coilovers on the back but not on the front?

I like the wheels hanging down look.

And Voila - The finished look. Got some red wheel nuts as well. Very happy with the look but interested to hear what other members think.

I tell you what it is amazing the difference bigger wheels and better tyres makes. Car handles so much better now with bigger shoes on the road. And I don't feel like I'm going to start aquaplaning any time it rains. Can't wait to do the brakes and suspension.

When I went to 8.5j from 7j rims I felt exactly the same. The car grips extremely well with the right wheels.
