Hi guys,

I think I've knackers my electric seat. Was playing with it to change my seating position using the long slider button to raise and lower the front half of the seat (not the back) and it got stuck so my front pad of the seat is slightly raised. Any advice on how to override this to bring the seat pad back down again ?? Its really stressing me out !!

All I hear is a little bit of whiring when trying to adjust it or just like a click and thats it.

I don't know how to fix it specifically, but there's a guide to removing the seat and then taking it apart, here and here. If you take the seat out you might be able to see what's wrong with it ?

If you do take it apart, then be careful about the airbags ! There's stuff on that in the guides.

Yeah, if you have a good look at the diagrams you can probably work out where the problem area is likely to be, then you might see if you can fix it in place. Though it's easy to take the seat out, and will make it a lot easier to look under it etc.

Well I was looking at the seat (thanks steviewevie for the diagrams) undid a few panels and can see the motor in question. It appears to 'look' ok although there is a plastic shaft that goes into the motor that looks a little less than straight on. I wondering if I actually pulled the seat out and pulled out the motor would the seat just drop down to its normal position. I noticed also that this motor makes a straining sound and then finally gives up (I can feel the motor has heated up a fair bit). Perhaps its gonna be easier to just find another beige half leather seat and just fit that in to just make life easier ?? Any one got a beige electric drivers seat going spare ??? And id proberbly need some help lol !!! Any offers ?? I can pay with beer lol !!! (I drank a few to many last nite at a party lol).

Is your passenger seat electric or manual ? If it's electric too, then can you compare to see if you can see something "wrong" on the driver's one ?
