Just a thought on this, the accelerator pedal that appears to be the problem was shown by a Toyota spokesman on the news yesterday and from what I could tell it was some sort of electronically controlled pedal and not a cable but to be honest I didn't have the sound up and only caught it out of the corner of my eye so it may be that the pedal plugs into the car like it's electronic but then has a cable aswell, if that makes sense.

our phone lines have been going mental!!!!!!! about this pedal poop!!and its on the drive by wire pedals cable ones do not come in to it....

give them your reg and they can check the vin number and tell you if it needs done...remember though theirs been no case's in europe........
