rear brakes done but problems

Had discs and pads done today sounds like somethings scraping, handbrake so tight doesnt even get to one click, obvious they didnt know what they were doing will take it back monday see what they say grrrrrrrr, oh and they even asked for permission for test drive and still noticed nothing wrong lol, is there anyone I can trust with my car in the Bristol area ?

your problem will be the backing plates for the scraping noiseItheirs a lip that fits into a groove on the rear of the disk that gets a little out of shape so it needs tapped with a hammer before new disks are fitted.....i see this a lot!!
it sounds like they have adjusted your handbrake using the cable and not the adjusters in the drum......i would get it seen to ASAP...

Thanks ormi sure thats exactly right, noise not that bad usually only when cornering so should be easy enough to remedy, no binding apparent but not liking the handbrake position

Hey spikes, no it was with a well known tyre and exhaust place that I have used many times but think brakes are beyond them :Shooting:

maybe worth jacking car up to make sure the brakes are not binding

I got used to it now lol, nothing snapped yet Smile

slight noise going round corners still but much better than it was Smile

will take a look myself when I get time looks easy enough to adjust, big hammer - I can do that Smile
