Intermittent HID problem
Intermittent HID problem
Noticed on quite a few IS200's in the past, where the ballasts have been fitted with the cables pointing upwards, always a good practice to have the cables facing downwards so the water/condensation runs away from the plugs and not into the unit!

Ive fitted mine under the headlight on the passenger side and in the huge gap behind the bumper in front of the wheel on the drivers
Parthiban your just being awkward now :laugh:
Surprised that the HIDS4U ones are still using the large ballasts with the inbuilt starter system, and not gone for the slim line ballasts with the external starter system, i've had 2 sets with the big ballasts in the past and both packed up, but the set i still have now with the small ballast and external starter still work fine and never had any problems with them?
parthiban It's floating behind the fusebox too, probably how yours is
Yep I thought that was the cause too, I was away for 3 weeks and the car was covered in snow the whole time - it's possible there is moisture inside it.

Just to follow up on this, HIDs4U were pretty good about it. Put the faulty ballast in the post thursday afternoon, replacement arrived saturday morning!
New one's in now and all seems fine, hopefully I'll have no more problems
